HAYDN COMPLETE 68 QUARTETS
At the start of the 2016/17 season, the Quatuor Cambini-Paris embarked on the ambitious project of performing all 68 string quartets of Joseph Haydn. With three concerts per season, the project is scheduled over eight years. This complete cycle of the 68 Haydn quartets, presented by Clément Lebrun, is given an element of staging that allows audiences to join the musicians in a participatory and sensory experience: they can invent titles for quartets that have no nickname, compare the sounds of bows from different periods, taste a burgundy wine or a chocolate created in music . . .

PROGRAMME SECOND EMPIRE
A programme "Second Empire" with Jean-François Heisser and his historic piano Chickering of 1868, year of the creation in Paris of the Brahms quintet, will be offered on tour and performed at the Orsay Museum.
The Quatuor Cambini-Paris has made the world premiere recording of the complete quartets of Charles Gounod, two of which have never been released on disc before. The five quartets were recorded in the Golden Gallery of the Banque de France for the Aparté label, and will subsequently be toured in a series of concerts.
This project is in partnership with the Palazzetto Bru Zane, which will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the composer’s birth in 2018.
